Hornady has done it again with another outstanding product. Their Dangerous Game Series trademark ammo is designed specifically for safari hunting and dangerous game. These 404 Jeffery cartridges are tipped with Hornady’s new flagship DGX (Dangerous Game eXpanding) trademark bullets. They are made of a very hard lead/antimony alloy surrounded by a copper clad steel jacket which resists deformation at all velocities to penetrate deeply through hide, muscle and bone-expanding 1.50 to 2 times their original diameter. They feature a flat meplat for straighter penetration and create more energy transfer than a simple round profile bullet.

DGX® Bonded Bullets DGX® Bonded bullets are built to the same profile as the corresponding DGS® (Dangerous Game™ Solid) bullets but expand to 1½ to 2 times their bullet diameter. They feature a copper-clad steel jacket bonded to a lead core to provide limited, controlled expansion with deep penetration and high weight retention. Bonding the jacket to the core prevents separation from high-energy impact on tough material like bone, ensuring the bullet stays together for deep expansion.
