Aero Precision’s AR-15 5.56mm 16″ Carbine Upper Receiver closely resembles the military’s M4 flattop upper and comes fully assembled. The charging handle and bolt/carrier group are omitted, since AR-15 fans who assemble their own rifles usually prefer to select aftermarket components that suit their specific needs. The AR-15 5.56mm 16″ Carbine Upper Receiver features a 16″ barrel of high-grade chrome-moly-vanadium carbon steel with a tough, corrosion- and scratch-resistant black QPQ finish (all other steel parts are Parkerized). It’s chambered for 5.56mm NATO ammunition, so it will safely handle civilian .223 Remington ammo too. The 1-7″ rifling provides proper stability for currently popular bullet weights.
