Rare Stevens 44 Model 50 engraved rifle, 25-25 Stevens, serial number 29XX, relined and reblued 26“ part octagon #4 weight barrel with excellent bore. Action is engraved on both sides with possible re-case colored but I am not sure. Checkered forearm and pistol grip, Schuetzen buttplate, palm rest. Stevens windage adjustable vernier tang sight, MVA spirit level windgauge front sight, early model 7 o’clock extractor, good solid wood with usual signs of usage. Matching numbers, early model 50 Stevens rifles are scarce, face of action stamped 50.
