The Hawke Sidewinder 30 SF riflescope gives you two significantupgrades over the former model: an elevation turret witness window and animproved optics system. You get a remarkable 24 degree field of view with thenew H5 optics system, in addition to 4″ eye relief. You also can nowquickly see how many revolutions you have on the elevation knob with the largewitness window. Both elevation and windage turrets lock, and you can adjustthem by up to 20 MRAD in 1/10 MRAD clicks, and the parallax adjusts with a sidefocus knob, with views from 10 yards to infinity.
The Sidewinder gives you better results than expected withpoor conditions due to its waterproof, shockproof, fog proof, nitrogen purged, 18layer fully multicoated lenses. The scope uses low dispersion crown glass to giveyou views normally seen only in costlier scopes, and has a 56mm objective lensand 30mm aluminum tube. You can turn on one of 6 lighting levels for the multiLED red lights for a good look at the reticle in low light. Finally, recoilwon’t be a problem for this scope, so it works well on multiple types offirearms or airguns.
Hawke created the exclusive SFP SR Pro II 1 mil reticle for longdistance shooting in wind. You get range finding brackets and exclusive redposts and crosses on the bottom part of the reticle with gaps that get wider toindicate how your projectile will drop with over longer distances. It also givesyou accurate spacing at 8x magnification, with features like hollow posts atthe outside of the reticle so you have a clear view and an illuminated centralaim point. Hawke also gives you a package with lens covers, a CR2032 batteryfor the LEDs, 4″ sidewheel, zoom lever, 4″ sunshade, and a lenscloth.
