While easily carried, the major drawback of Springfield Armory’s XD-S handgun lineup is the limited capacity, and this is particularly true of the big-bore .45 ACP models in the lineup. To combat this limitation, it’s critical that owners carry a reload, and this XD-S steel magazine is built to handle the stresses of everyday carry. The Springfield Armory XDS steel magazine is designed for use with 9mm models only and have a magazine body made from heat-treated carbon steel. The magazine is treated with a black-oxide finish that combats corrosion and premature wear. Inside each Springfield Armory XDS steel magazine, you’ll find a spring formed from heat-treated chrome-silicon wire, as well as an injection-molded follower. The magazines are available with a 8-round capacity and are made in the USA.
